Home Alone was a childhood favorite, and it is obviously a top movie worldwide. When the holidays approached, this movie always brought excitement and happiness. When I am with friends, and they ask me what Christmas movie to watch, this is the first one I ALWAYS think about. The scenes in the film are funny and well-thought-out, and they make you wonder how a kid can handle adults.

A huge argument sparks between Kevin and his family after his older brother Buzz shoves basically a whole pizza down his throat, making Kevin visually angry. Kevin’s retaliation got him grounded for the entire night, resulting in him sleeping upstairs with Melvin. In this scene, we end up running into our first out of two main antagonists, which nobody probably realized until it was revealed later in the movie.

Home Alone is a movie I will never forget, no matter how old I am, because of the nostalgia I gained from the first time I watched it until now, nearing the end of 2024 into 2025. In my opinion no other Christmas movie will ever put up the nostalgic effect that Home Alone did, the Grinch would the only contender but I wouldn’t even put that above home alone.
