The following is in no way, shape, or form satire in any sense of the word and should be treated as something so imbued with truth that it ought to be held above every scripture and science because of just how incomprehensibly true it is.
America should be followed by the international community in its respect towards the elderly. In what other country would so much respect be given to the elderly as to make it so difficult for them to survive if they haven’t prepared for retirement their entire lives? Very few because we, as Americans, respect our elderly enough to understand that they don’t deserve patronization and are capable of taking care of themselves. So capable, in fact, that talks in Congress have begun about cutting social security. After all, they’re not infants. The elderly are wise and don’t need babying or social security money that they need to survive in an increasingly unlivable economy. No, we love our elderly, so we give them dignity and work them to death.

In what other country would a senate’s median age be 65.3? None, because they’re all too ageist. As Americans, we trust their intuition, wisdom, and ability to lead the country. So what if it’s a bit “unstable” to have the leaders of a country almost all past the “retirement age?” Well, it’s not unstable, and it’s just commonplace ageism if you think that it is. If Congress isn’t living in reality, then I don’t believe in reality. Suppose people who lived through the Cold War want to deal with China like the Soviet Bloc. In that case, I fully, wholeheartedly, and absolutely endorse their actions and supposedly outdated methods of dividing Western and Eastern industries rather than trying to maximize profit through trades without tariffs or embargoes. Because why would we live in a world dominated by modern efficiency when we could stay in the good old days of military overspending, bloc-based economies, industrial inefficiency, unnecessary competitiveness in the production of products we are astoundingly inept at producing, and continued wastefulness and destruction to the planet?
The scourge of modernity says we need to financially support these iron souls and change our ways. That we need to modernize America and our international approaches. What did modernity bring anyone other than boring architecture and questionable fashion? I’ll tell you what, more issues. Issues like uncomfortable Oprah interviews that nobody needed (*cough cough* Prince Harry), overpriced gasoline, overpriced Taylor Swift tickets, and liberal arts majors who want to save the planet from being a little toastier. All of these terrible, horrific plagues are trying to be pushed onto humanity by communists being driven back by the stalwart elderly whom our nation leans on as they lean on their canes and walkers.

And about canes and walkers it’s also worth at least noting the state of nursing homes. The state being the slight issues like widespread neglect and abuse faced by the elderly in nursing homes that are meant to take care of them. As well as the lack of justice for the victims of such a broken system for America’s forgotten. But who cares about that?
Anyways, what is most evident and apparent is that the elderly down the street and in the capital who still wave the banner of yesterday and reminisce about old America should not be ignored and wheeled back into overcrowded and neglected nursing homes after “rambling” about the evils of young America. Instead, it should be celebrated for the inability to identify that time is not stagnant.
That being said, though, there are still a few elderly who fail to remember what a great place America used to be. Men and women who populate the great American nursing home, also known as the white house, who all struggle to realize that a union of states with accessible healthcare, relatively light but still existent gun control, and less expensive education is not at all good for anyone’s future other than the communists and the liberals who are dead set on destroying this great nation.

What matters, however, is what I’ve been harping on: the ignorance and babying the young Americans given to the older generations rather than putting more of them in Congress, cutting their benefits, and listening to every wisdom-packed word of every cane-wielding patriot. That is all.
