It is close to that time of year when you begin your college search and consider what you want to do in the future. It can be hard to choose, but hopefully, this will help. Here are some jobs that took off during COVID-19 that you should consider when considering your future.
To start off with probably the most obvious one, delivery drivers. Remember when you were stuck in your house 24/7, afraid to even go to the store? This made it so that people could only get the things they needed or wanted by ordering them online. To be truthful, the convenience of it made people decide to continue this trend. Take a moment to think about it: how many Amazon packages do you see arrive at your doorstep each week? As of November 2023, you can make almost $20 an hour delivering people their packages.

Another job that took off during COVID-19, which can be overlooked sometimes, is working for a pharmaceutical company. After releasing the Covid vaccine, companies like Pfizer and Moderna are doing very well for themselves. Almost every commercial you see now is for a new medication to treat some sort of illness or health condition.
With all the stress and anxiety people formed while people stuck at home for a year, an excellent job to consider is being a therapist. People have always needed therapists to help them deal with whatever trouble they are going through, although, after 2020, they have an extremely high demand. Being a therapist is not only an excellent job, but you will also be able to help so many people if you become one.
Over the past decade, multiple forms of content creation have become popular, and Covid has only made it more widespread. One form of this content creation is social media management for teams, companies, etc. You can post ads and official announcements for who you’re working with, and it could be an enjoyable experience for a teenager as they are the primary demographic for this job. Social media management can be incredibly beneficial to learning the basics of running an account and marketing.

Online shopping has only grown in popularity ever since stores were shut down for a while in 2020. Many online marketplaces have opened, allowing people to sell stuff online for any value they choose or what they feel it’s worth. It’s a much more convenient way to sell anything than to drive to a store or other location and sell it there. Also, you can have much more variety in what you sell, ranging from a vast array of different items. These past few years have shown the true strength and emergence of online shopping over going to a physical store and buying stuff there.
Hopefully, this article has helped you explore many possible current or future options. With our world only expanding, it opens up the opportunity for multiple new jobs and potential career opportunities. All of the jobs mentioned can be an excellent start for teenagers as they enter the working world. If you don’t have a job already, we hope these suggestions will help.
